Honouring Ceremonies
-
In complete celebration and honouring of The Mother. This ceremony is all about the mother being able to fully relax and feel how loved and supported she is.
Can include; lush nature surroundings, closest friends, pregnancy alter, red thread ritual, flower crown + shower, belly mandala/art, music, meditation, prayer and story sharing for the approaching birth journey.
Includes; borrowing of my 'birth throne', blankets, cushions, birth artwork, oracle cards, candles.
*This ceremony is included in both birth packages due to the vital importance of a woman looking around and seeing the community that will support her in her journey. This re-villaging aspect of birthwork is what I am most passionate about.
Recommended around 34 weeks gestation. Usually 3-4hrs.

The ceremony of burying the placenta is common among many cultures across the world; believed to help connect the child to the earth, their purpose and their body.
This ceremony brings acknowledgment and gratitude to the placenta, to the threshold of birth now crossed and to your child for now being here with you.
Different options for ceremony, optional artwork and burial e.g planting under a fruit tree or tree of choice.

This ceremony is inspired by the South American Post-Partum ritual traditionally known as the “Closing Of The Bones.”
