  • Legal Documentation:

    • Advance care planning

    Basic comfort care

    • Hydration, repositioning, creating a peaceful environment

    • Preparing the space for death: soft lighting, gentle music, familiar and meaningful items

    • Sitting vigil in the final days and hours. Peaceful, grounded presence.

    Co-ordination

    • Co-ordinating & communicating with family and caregivers. Supporting shift rotation, assigning of tasks, people’s wishes.

    • Setting meal trains, weekly timetables, community crowd funding.

    • Accompanying and transporting clients to medical or wellbeing appointments

    Writing & Legacy Support

    • Writing and shaping funeral and memorial speeches that truly reflect the person’s life

      • Editing or refining speeches while preserving the speaker’s authentic voice

      • Creating written pieces that can be read aloud or kept as lasting keepsakes

      • Working one-on-one with individuals to document their life story as a book

    • Recording online tapes & recorded messages to leave behind for loved ones  

    • Helping people say what needs to be said (or sit in what cannot be said)

    • Offering a steady, non-judgemental presence and anchor 

    After-Death

    • Gentle body care: washing or dressing of body (independent or supporting loved ones to do themselves)

    • Arranging cold plate to person at home or co-ordinating with Solace End Of Life Services to keep body with them until ceremony, burial or cremation

    • Creating an appropriate space for goodbye

    • Facilitation of ceremony. Discussing the many options eg traditional, at home, alternative, public or private.

    • Support with burial options or cremation. Paper work etc.

    • Check-in with family and loved ones weeks or months later.

    • Deep listening and meaningful conversation

    • Supporting client to say what feels unfinished (apologies, gratitude, truths)

    • Normalising emotions & helping reduce fear of dying

    • Guided meditations & breath awareness

    • Honouring the person’s beliefs, values, and sense of meaning (religious or not)

    • Supporting connection to something greater eg nature, ancestry, love, mystery

    • Transition Mentoring

    • Check ins with family and caregivers after death
