Birth Lands More Than The Baby

Birth lands more than the baby. It births and lands the child but it also births and lands The Woman. The Community. The Man. And The Mother and Fathers Love.

Birth is the absolute axis from which all life spins; it is nothing short of a doorway, an access point, a green fertile path holding many seeds of potential - beyond physical birth.

Something beautiful that I have witnessed in my friends is how much birth has birthed Them. It has birthed them into their truth, their power and into their bodies. Landing not only their child but also re-landing themselves.

So much of what we are seeing in our world is the result of humans not fully being in their bodies and present. Our system is set up to lead us away from it. External answers. Tireless work. Distraction after distraction.

Even aspects of spiritual and religious worlds lead us away from ourselves and our bodies. We are taught about the path of ascension, seeking out of body experiences or looking outside of ourselves to an external text or god-like figure for answers/approval/forgiveness.

What I love about physical, physiological birth is that there is no other path for it but through The Body. A greater intelligence, a force, a power within ignites and allows us to feel, touch, sense something so much greater than ourselves that simultaneously lives inside of and is ourselves.

As above, so below and as far out as, as far in. There are as many points of disconnection as there are points of reconnection. And birth is not just a fine lined point. It is a wide open door which opens to many. A stamp which leaves beautiful prints on us forever. A forest where old branches and beliefs can be laid to rest and new sown. A lens through which all can be seen. An axis through which all of life spins.
